Welcome Class of 2026 to the 6th Grade Center. As your school counselor, I am here to help assist you in multiple ways. I am thankful we will be spending the next 180 days together embracing education. I am always here to help in anyway that I can!

I am a lifetime resident of Seymour. I attended Seymour Community Schools K-12. This is my seventh year of teaching and I still LOVE it! My time outside of school is occupied by my family - my husband, my daughter, and my two sons.

It is my privilege to teach World Geography at the 6th Grade Center. It is my heart's desire to see all students reach their highest goals!

Favorite Subjects: Science and Social Studies I LOVE working with my foreign exchange students with ISE (International Student Exchange); our family has hosted two students from Germany and Belgium. Hobbies: reading, camping, horseback riding, TRAVELING-especially to foreign countries. ECA: I coach the Lady Owls Tennis at Seymour H.S. My family: We have three children: two boys in college at Purdue and Wabash, and my daughter is an 9th grader; we have one dog named Charlie...my husband is also a social studies teacher at SHS :-)

Looking forward to a great year at the Sixth Grade Center! This is my first year at the 6GC, but my twenty-fifth year in the classroom. I also enjoy teaching business writing for Ivy Tech. When not at school, I enjoy reading, working around the house, and hiking with my family. My family includes my husband, Derek and daughters Emma - a sophomore at Indiana University, and Maddy, a sophomore at SHS.
