→We look forward to seeing your student in the cafeteria each day and we believe that "Every child deserves a smile." This is just a reminder that you can monitor your student's cafeteria balance online at www.mypaymentsplus.com. You do not need to pay online to monitor the account. Also, applications for free or reduced priced meals are available in the office or by calling 812-271-1344. You can apply at any time during the school year.
→Hiring Cafeteria Substitutes
Are you friendly and do you enjoy working with children? SCSC is looking for new substitutes to work in our school cafeterias next school year. Subbing in our kitchens is a great way to earn a little extra spending money while being part of the SCSC team. Shifts are usually 3 hours during the school day. Job duties may include monitoring in the cafeteria, light food prep, washing dishes and help with clean-up. Like subbing in the classroom, this is an on-call, no guaranteed hours position. If you want to work a few hours here and there and need flexibility in your schedule, this could be a perfect fit. Please call the food service office at 812-271-1344 for more information. To apply, complete an online application at www.scsc.k12.in.us.

Arrival times-Students enter through the flagpole doors (cafeteria doors for the 6th GC) at 8:00 am. You will be released to report to your PRIDE (found on your schedule) room at 8:20. All students need to be in their seats by 8:30 am. Front driveway is reserved for buses only. 7/8 Parents are to use the athletic “parking lot driveway” to drop off your child. Doors will not open until 8am.
Pick up time-Release time is 3:30. If you or someone else plans to pick up your students, please do so in the back parking lot behind the gymnasiums. (6thGC can pick up in the gym parking lot or behind the school on Lynn Street) Please make the pick up arrangements before the end of the day. The front driveway is reserved for buses.
Lockers-7/8 Locker numbers and combinations will be on the student schedules that will be mailed home. (6th GC lockers are assigned by their 1st period teacher. That is one of their first orders of business each school year and your student will be given plenty of time to "practice" their locks.)
Communication-Parents/guardians, you will or have received a code to keep constant communication regarding your student’s grades, attendance and discipline. If you have not received a code stop by the front desk at the SMS and get it from Mrs. Naul. Communication is important, please feel free to call the school, 812-522-5453, come by the school, or email the teachers, or myself. Check the website daily for news and upcoming events. Announcements will also be on the website as well as sporting events.
Please feel free to stop by or call the office anytime for any questions you may have.
